- What is Market Matador?
- Market Matador is an educational stock market collectible card game for ages 9–18. Players open packs of real stock cards, manage virtual cash, complete Player Challenges to earn rewards, and climb a leaderboard based on total portfolio value.
- How do card packs work?
- Standard stock cards are pack-only. Every paid pack contains exactly four whole cards from a color tier (Bronze, Silver, or Gold). Platinum packs are not sold—Platinum cards are earned one at a time through rare challenges. New players also receive a free starter pack.
- What are Player Challenges?
- Challenges are how players accumulate cash and free packs. Daily Show-Up: check in during market hours for a Daily Free Pack and your streak; open a better Daily Free Pack in the first 30 minutes after the market opens. Compound pot caps at $100. Beat The Matador (Bronze→Gold × Daily→Monthly, cash only, set-and-forget fights), Net Positive Week, and Diversification add more goals.
- Does Market Matador use real money?
- No. Market Matador uses virtual cash and virtual stock cards for learning and competition. It is not a brokerage and does not execute real trades on behalf of players.
