How Card Packs Work
Market Matador uses a pack-only primary economy. Learn starter packs, paid Bronze–Gold boosters, and why standard cards are not sold individually.

Pack-only buying for standard cards
Standard stock cards cannot be purchased one-by-one from the system shop. Players buy randomized packs that always contain exactly four whole cards from a color tier.
That keeps acquisition exciting (like opening a booster) while still letting players sell unwanted cards from their collection for cash.
Starter pack
Every new account receives a free starter pack. Opening it promotes the player to Retail Trader and unlocks Bronze paid packs in the shop.
Paid pack tiers
Bronze, Silver, and Gold packs are sold at fixed shop prices. Higher player badges unlock higher-tier packs. Each open draws four cards uniformly from stocks in that color band.
Card color bands are based on stock price breakpoints maintained by the Market Matador ops pipeline—not on arbitrary rarity labels alone.
