Badge ladder
Players progress through Beginner, Retail Trader, Day Trader, Whale, and Matador. Those badges gate Bronze and Silver packs. Boost unlocks from total assets, not from Whale or Matador. Stack Days rewards use the same pack mix for everyone.
Progression looks at portfolio value (cash + card market value) and challenge consistency. Matador is capped to a small top cohort on the global leaderboard.
Leaderboard ranking
The leaderboard ranks players by total assets. Smart pack openings, timely sells, and completing Challenges—especially Stack Days—all contribute to climbing the board.

- What player tiers exist in Market Matador?
- Players progress through Beginner, Retail Trader, Day Trader, Whale, and Matador. Retail Trader unlocks Bronze packs and Day Trader unlocks Silver packs. Boost Packs unlock when total assets are more than $10,000.
- Does Matador unlock Platinum packs?
- No. Matador does not unlock a Platinum pack. The shop sells Bronze, Silver, and Boost. Boost can rarely include one Platinum card once total assets are more than $10,000.
